A SCAMPI A Appraisal is the "large" version which delivers the most detailed results. Only a SCAMPI A Appraisal can provide a maturity level and/or capability level rating as a result. Also, only the results of SCAMPI A Appraisals are published on the SEI website.
A SCAMPI B or C Appraisal delivers less detailed results, and they are not published on the SEI website. However, SCAMPI B or C Appraisals are less effort. A SCAMPI B or C Appraisal is especially useful for evaluating the process improvement progress of an organization.
