This training is aimed at managers, project managers and staff who are leading or are involved in an improvement program – e.g. with CMMI or ITIL. After completing the training you will know the key success factors in process improvement and will be able to actively manage and support process improvement initiatives. The training is based on the book "Der Weg zur professionellen IT" by Malte Foegen, Mareike Solbach and Claudia Raak, published by Springer, Oktober 2007.

The real task in improvement initiatives is the "bringing to life" of new methods of work – a task which is often overlooked and almost always under-estimated. This training guides you through the tasks, responsibilities and criteria for success to establish sustained improvements in your organization. The course will describe how you involve the stakeholders and how you should plan and manage the change initiative on the basis of a process model.

The training does not cover any contents of CMMI or ITIL models. The change management topics will be covered independently of any reference model applied.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites. It is recommended that the participants ave already attended the Introduction to CMMI or an ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
