The fairy tale of digital transformation: what does it really take?

Story time with Oliver Nößler:

Once upon a time there was digital transformation. With the help of 4 theses, Oliver Nößler takes a closer look in his presentation at the solutions.hamburg the fairy tale of digital transformation and thus provides food for thought: Perhaps the term "transformation" in connection with Digitization completely out of place.

The fact is that transition takes time. But that's exactly what companies usually lack the most - time. As illustrated in the following figure, the speed of innovation doubles every two years.

New technologies are being adapted much faster today and companies often do not have the time to catch up. One of Nößler's solutions: new digital business and highly innovative projects must be outsourced so that the company's old-fashioned, non-agile work processes do not hold these projects back.

Oliver Nößler is not the only one who is convinced that "in-house" is an enormously important factor. The figures show that more and more companies are also deciding to take this step. There are around 100 digital innovation units in Germany, almost 60% more than in the previous year. If you believe a study by Infront and Capital believe, this number could grow to 600 in 2020.
