This week the Global Scrum Gathering took place in Munich with more than 600 participants from all over the world. Malte, Sascha and I had the opportunity to talk to many old acquaintances and also exchange ideas with new faces. We would like to share a few impressions with you here.

Assembly & Zalando

The Scrum Gathering was opened by Eric Bowman with the keynote "Scaling @ Zalando - Through Radical Change". In the keynote, Eric emphasized how important it is to change the corporate culture and to deal with the why.
"Getting away from tasks and getting to Why is the biggest challenge that any scaled agile company faces." (Eric Bowman)
Following the keynote, we were able to attend various presentations, which Malte, Sascha and I attended.

The day was rounded off with a hearty Bavarian dinner in the Augustiner Keller.
Open Space Tuesday

While Monday and Wednesday had a fixed program, there was a huge open space on Tuesday after the keynote. Each participant had the opportunity to pitch their topic. Afterwards, a correspondingly large room was selected based on the person interested in the topic.

Responsibility on Wednesday

The last day of the Scrum Gathering started with many small presentations and ended with a big keynote and the announcement of the next European Scrum Gathering, which will take place in Dublin.
