"Why Scrum is not the same as Agile? How to work in cross-functional teams? How agile teams deal with KPIs?"
Cathleen Bredemeyer and Stefan Willuda have already achieved a lot as agile coaches at and with idealo. However, they are still far from having played through agile. The questions don't get any easier, they just change.
After 8 years of agile, idealo is no longer concerned with the difference between scrum and agile or how teams deal with KPIs. Cathleen and Stefan are more concerned with how they as an organization come up with problems that their customers consider worth solving. - And by "worth solving" they mean "someone would spend money on it".
Stefan brings up the problem during the presentation on the solutions.hamburg to the point with a quote from Peter Drucker: "There is nothing quite so useless, as doing with great efficiency, something that should not be done at all."
Idealo is currently solving the problem with a model that combines "problem discovery" and "solution delivery". In addition to short learning cycles, which the company is testing in the customer portal, the agile coaches are concerned with aligning the teams with the company's vision and strategic direction.
Not enough yet? For all those who were unable to visit us at solutions.hamburg, the presentation is available as a video.
