Scrum values
The 5 Scrum values (commitment, focus, openness, respect and courage) have already been described by Ken Schwaber and Mike Beddle in his first book, now they are also officially available in a Section in the ScrumGuide.
Inclusion in the ScrumGuide also emphasizes how important it is to change your attitude and live these 5 values. It is only through the Scrum values that transparency, inspection and adaptation come about and trust can develop. In this podcast, my colleagues Artur, Jörg, Alessia, Frank and I try to express what the Scrum values mean for us.
Sprint target
The sprint goal is now emphasized in a new section of the ScrumGuide. In many training sessions and discussions, we notice time and again that the sprint goal is often not properly practiced. The sprint goal is often the right "flight level" for many stakeholders to understand what the purpose of the sprint is.
Another reason why some teams find it difficult to define a goal is that a collection of backlog items is packed into the sprint. Only when we select the content according to business value and talk about added value for the customer do we succeed in formulating a sprint goal. David expresses his thoughts on the sprint goal in the following video.
